RuPaul's Drag Race: Battle Of The Seasons- Highlights

As I am sure you are all aware, the RuPaul's Drag Race Battle of the Seasons Tour is back and in full swing. I was lucky enough to attend the Newcastle show on Saturday (HUGE thank you to Sharon Needles, you're the fucking best). So if you couldn't go, or you're going and want to know what to expect, let me give you some of my highlights.

The opening number was one of my favourite performances for sure. It featured a lip sync with all of queens and then a comical song by Michelle reading them- check it out here.

Sharon performed a touching tribute to David Bowie and her cat Cerrone. She sang 'Space Oddity' in a Bowie inspired costume, made in an exact fabric the legend himself had once worn. It was emotional and truly magnificent, the best tribute I have seen by far.

Adore sang two of my favourite covers of hers, 'Stay' by Rihanna and 'Dancing on my own' by Robyn. As always she looked stunning. She also performed 'I Can't Love You' from her new album After Party, available on iTunes here.

Courtney performed her single, 'Kaleidoscope'- check out our review of the music video here. The performance was high energy, complete with a gorgeous costume and glass shattering vocals- perfection.

Katya did a Titanic inspired performance, lip syncing 'My heart will go on' by Celine Dion in Russian. Pandora featured as the ice burg.

The show included a few musical theatre numbers. Michelle and Jinkx did a fantastic rendition of 'Class' from the musical Chicago. Jinkx sang 'Just Around the Corner' from The Addams Family. The queens also sang snippets of a few songs from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. The stand out for me was Sharon singing 'Sweet Transvestite'.

Pandora had a Star Wars themed performance which transitioned into 'Wannabe' by the Spice Girls. Violet did an incredible aerial hoop performance, even if i was nervous that she would fall the entire time.

All of the queens and Michelle came on at the end for a finale, resulting in a stage dive from Adore where nobody caught her, but there wasn't any major injuries as far as I'm aware.

If you get the chance to go to any of the dates, go for it. It was a magical night.

Thank you all for reading! Hope you enjoyed x
