It's that time again kittens!
Drag Race season is in full swing and this weeks episode definitely did not disappoint. If you missed it or are just reeling from all the drama, don't fear! I'm here to fill you in and give you all the goss.
As with all episodes, we began with a goodbye. Queue moment of silence for the first queen to go home, Naysha.
The mini challenge this week was a Latin style dance off to RuPaul's new song 'Cha Cha Bitch' featuring AB Soto (available on itunes HERE). This challenge proved once again that time really does matter when it comes to getting into drag, if you know what I mean. All of the queens gave it their all but Cynthia and Chi Chi came out on top with their Latina flare. Kim Chi made us all cringe a little with her two left feet, leading her to be picked last for the main challenge and delivering the cutest line of all time.
This weeks main challenge was an all lip-syncing all dancing extravaganza, inspired by 'Pitch Perfect'; Cynthia's 'Lady Bitches' vs Chi Chi's 'Shady Bitches'. The challenge featured choreography by the legendary Jamal Sims.
The 'Shady Bitches' really lived up to their name as Acid Betty tried to take control of the group and Chi Chi was having none of it. Check this death glare.
While over with the 'Lady Bitches' their main concern was the lack of dancing ability in the group. Laila and Kim had an adorable struggle with the most basic dance move and it was truly heartbreaking. Maybe Kim should master walking first or she may fall on her cucu again. The other queens on her team boosted her spirits, unlike the 'Shady Bitches' who were still at each others throats.
While getting dragged up, secrets were revealed. Kim Chi is a virgin, much to the shock of her sisters. Throw in some emotional childhood moments to have us tearing up as always.
The Bitch Perfect challenge was a total success in my opinion. The 'Lady Bitches' were very Britney Spears in the 'Baby One More Time' video and the 'Shady Bitches' were giving sex appeal in thigh highs.
The theme for the runway was 'Movie Premiere Realness'. A standout look for me was definitely Bob the Drag Queen, she was giving Naomi a run for her money with those legs. Other showstoppers included Robbie Turner's Vera Wang gown and Kim Chi's flower fantasy. Chi Chi went on to win the main challenge with her Dreamgirls-esque runway look and twerking skills.
Laila McQueen and Dax ExclamationPoint were the queens who didn't make the cut and had to lip-sync to 'I Will Survive' by Gloria Gaynor. Ironically due to their lacklustre performance neither of them survived this battle. Sorry ladies. To end the episode on an even more dramatic note, RuPaul made an ominous sounding phone call...but who was she calling?? Just like all of you, we're dying to find out.
That's it for this week dolls! Who are you rooting for? Tweet @ailurophelle and let us know.
