The mere fact that after hearing the track for the first time I craved more should be a promising start. "Marylise" is a teaser to an EP I am anticipating to be completely lost in.

The track shows a wholly unique venture to the Indie Pop genre - which is now on the rise more than ever. Frankly, the Swiss singer/song writer has made her (first!) statement a great one.

Marylise blends 80's elementes with the current, feel good harmonies which we are hearing more and more on the radio and, it appears, that this EP will have the potential to truly establish itself within the industry. Full of lush harmonies and honey-sweet vocals, Charlyn's music is something to look out for.

The London based artist will perform a  release show on the 15th of June at The Half Moon in Putne. So, stay put.

With her mosaic of instruments arranged to be a perfect summer tune, the artist has taken London venues (such as O2 Academy Islington and Bush Hall - as well as some shows in Paris and Switzerland) by storm. Hopefully, Marylese can be the girl and the soundtrack of this summer. To put it simply, it is an astonishing piece of work for a first single - fit for any fans of CHVRCHES or Fickle Friends. 

Charlyn described the piece as “a summery pop song, telling the story of a woman pretending to have ‘the perfect life’, however wanting to escape and live the life of someone else.”
